Rubicon Ridge is a three-layer bar, and each layer does something different. The top layer is pine tar — deep cleansing, cuts through grease and grime the way nothing else does. The middle layer is activated charcoal and pumice with pine essential oil — draws out impurities and exfoliates. The bottom layer is kaolin clay and black spruce — balances and conditions the skin after the other two have done their work. All three in one bar, cold processed together. No synthetic fragrance. Handmade in small batches in St. Louis. This is the most complex bar we make, which is why it costs a dollar more.
The Rubicon Trail runs through the Sierra Nevada and is considered one of the hardest off-road routes in the country. It's not a trail you do casually — it's rock, elevation, and exposure the whole way. We built this bar with the same logic: three ingredients that each do serious work, layered so the result is more than any of them alone. Some things are worth the extra effort.

What's Inside
Every bar starts with a cold-process base of olive, coconut, and shea, no synthetic fragrance, no dyes, no filler. Scent and character come from real plant-based ingredients that are ethically sourced. Cured for 6+ weeks before it ships, for a bar that lasts longer and lathers better than the fast stuff.
What Makes It Different?
The short answer: what's not in it.
No Synthetic Fragrance
"Fragrance" on a label can legally hide dozens of undisclosed chemicals. Ours comes from real plant oils.
Cold Process
Most "handmade" soap on the market is melted from a cheap pre-made base and re-poured quickly. Ours takes time to ensure you get the best for your skin.
Small Batch, Not Mass Produced
No factory line. Every bar is mixed, poured, and cut by hand in a father-son operation in St. Louis. Batches are small enough that we know what's in every one.
Made in America
Every bar is mixed, poured, cut, and cured right here. No overseas manufacturing, no factories. Wild Timber is a father-son operation based in St. Louis and every batch that ships out started in that same shop.
How About Rolling The Dice?
Wild Timber Soap Company
The Mystery Bar is dealer's choice. Whatever we're sitting on, whatever we're testing, whatever we made too much of this batch. It comes from the same lineup as every Wild Timber bar: cold process, essential oils only, no synthetic fragrance, rough cut and handmade in St. Louis. Five ounces of something good. You just won't know which one until it shows up.
