I've dealt with eczema my whole life. Flare-ups, dry patches, the whole cycle of trying products that promise relief and deliver more irritation instead. Most soap on the market is built for shelf appeal, not skin and if you've lived with eczema or other conditions, you already know the difference between something that smells nice and something that actually helps.
My father started making this soap for one person: me. Cold process, real oils, nothing stripped out and sold back to you separately. It worked well enough that I wanted to learn how to make it, and eventually stopped keeping it to myself.
Every bar we make now carries a little more than the ingredients. When I'm developing a scent, I'm thinking about the places that actually mean something like a trailhead at 6am, a lake that smelled like pine and cold water, a stretch of highway that felt like it went on forever. A shower shouldn't just be another five minutes of your day. It can be a break for your skin, and for whatever kind of day you're having.

About the Bars
Our starter bar is handmade, cold process soap, made in small batches, cured for weeks, not rushed through a factory line. Cold process soap retains natural glycerin, which most mass-produced bars strip out and sell back to you in lotion. This is a full-size bar, not a sample, so you can actually judge it the way you'd judge any soap: by using it.
The Origin Story
Wild Timber Soap Co. started as a father-son business in St. Louis, built around a bar developed for the son's eczema, not for wellness trends. We still make every bar by hand, cure it the slow way, and build our own soap trays and crates out of black walnut and whatever else we can get our hands on in the same workshop. It's a small operation, made in America, with no interest in cutting corners to look bigger than we are
Why Cold Process, Why Now
Most soap on store shelves is mass-produced detergent dressed up to look like soap. Cold process is a different, slower method. Oils and lye combined and cured over weeks instead of pushed out in hours, which is why it treats skin differently. If you've dealt with dry or irritated skin from typical bar or body wash, this is worth trying once before you write off bar soap entirely.
