Vanilla Reserve is made with real cognac — not cognac fragrance, not a synthetic approximation, actual cognac added during the cold process. The alcohol burns off in saponification, but the oak and grape compounds stay in the bar, which is where the warmth in the scent comes from. Paired with vanilla essential oil, the result is deep and rounded without being sweet. No synthetic fragrance. Handcrafted in small batches in St. Louis.
Most soap companies that claim a cognac scent are using a fragrance oil blended to smell like one. We didn't want to simulate it — we wanted to actually use it. So we do. There's something satisfying about an ingredient that most people would just fake. We'd rather spend the extra money and do it right.

The craftsmanship of the bar alone warrants a review but seriously the scents perfectly complement each other, leaving be looking forward to my next shower. Knowing that all the ingredients are all natural leaves my mind clear and skin clean. I highly recommend this soap!!!!
